JMR Bliss Jubilé and Magic Stands Special Offer
JMR Jean Marie ReynaudThis is a very special offer! A pair of JMR BLISS Jubilé in Cherry with a pair of JMR Magic Stand II.
NB. Customer Trade In. Box Opened.
The BLISS Jubilé continues on from the BLISS Silver with a redesigned cabinet, drivers from the EUTERPE Jubilee, a new 17cm woofer and impregnated silk dome tweeter utilising a 28mm voice coil. The new Bliss offers an extremely lively and embodied sound with a very smooth and detailed upper mid range.
FEATURES
Acoustic Enclosure: The Bliss Jubile uses the same loading principle developed for the Offrande Supreme. Implementing 4 coupled cavities with progressive dampening, leading to a front laminar vent port, this proprietary loading principle significantly improves the group delay time of the system. A non magnetic stainless-steel threaded rod passes from the rear of the cabinet and attaches to the rear of the woofer. The rod improves the mechanical tensioning of the woofer. Adjustment is performed using a high precision torque wrench which ensures identical tension. This axial attachment to the woofer makes it possible to tighten the walls of the cabinet ensuring that mechanical forces are uniformly distributed between the loudspeaker basket and the front baffle, dramatically improving the transient response of the system.
Velvet Felt Surround: A non reflective velvet felt surround, surrounding the woofer and tweeter, diffracts first reflections on the cabinet and improves phase, directivity and soundstage.
Woofer: The driver used by the Bliss uses a 170mm long fibre Gaussian profile paper cone and is treated using an extremely effective damping material. Its impregnated dust cap is assembled at the rear of the cone in order to avoid the frequency surge at the end of the bandwidth. It has a 30mm voice coil on a ventilated aluminium support, its aluminium frame clears the rear of the cone. It is also ventilated to improve the cooling of the coil and significantly lower its distortion rate. It is equipped with a double magnet to increase the concentration of the magnetic flow onto the voice coil. Its suspension is made from a rubber and foam compound which has an optimised profile in order to obtain a very fast response time when subjected to extreme variations in the low and mid frequencies.
Tweeter: The tweeter uses an impregnated silk dome tweeter with a 28mm voice coil with excellent linearity and optimal internal damping. This is the same tweeter as used in the Euterpe and Cantabile Jubilee speakers. Its directivity is naturally very low, which removed the need for the use of a phase plug. Its linearity is exemplary and its internal damping optimal. It is powered by a powerful neodymium magnet operating with a very low resonant frequency which allows a cutoff frequency at 2800hz in 12db / octave. The tweeter is mounted to a machined aluminium front frame using a specific soft glue which reduces mechanical interference and further improves its directivity and performance.
Crossover: 12dB / octave, Crossover frequency at 2800 Hz. A Ferrite air coil with very low resistance uses 1.2mm oxygen-free pure copper winding cable for a fast, non-compressed low end frequency response. All of the crossover components are hand crafted, measured, matched and sorted into pairs to within a tolerance of 1%, this selection process plus the pairing of the components, enables JMR to produce perfectly matched speaker pairs.
Resistors & Capacitors: Non inductive ceramic resistors are used along with Silver capacitors which indicate the directivity of their silver foil windings.
Hand Assembly: The crossover network is assembled entirely by hand and mounted on an anti-vibration plate positioned as far as possible from any magnetic and vibratory interference. All components are soldered directly one onto the other using silver ROHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) soldering.
Internal Wiring: All interconnections use JMRs HP1132 silver/copper cable, soldered directly to the loudspeaker binding posts. This high end cable provides a true linear response over the entire frequency range of the speaker. It produces rich tones with an extremely high degree of resolution and transparency that lacks any harshness. WBT Block type speaker terminals allow the use of the following connectors, Spade, Banana or Bare cable.
