Chord Sarum T XLR Pair

€3,320.00

One of the major benefits of handbuilding cables is that cable configurations can be optimised for every type of termination. Compare a Sarum T Super ARAY XLR cable to an RCA version and you’ll notice the cable is heavier and larger. To optimise the performance of the Sarum T Super ARAY XLR means adding another signal cable identical to the other signal cables and this applies to the super ARAY conductors as well. Then Chord designed an aluminium back shell that is machined for us. It means that Chord can accommodate the extra cables in a way that avoids any compression on the conductors.

Some components use a balanced design right through the circuit and if this is the case with your equipment then there’s a good chance that the XLR connection is going to be a good option. There are other components where the XLR sockets are added as an option.

The real answer though is to try both – The SarumT  Super ARAY RCA and XLR use identical cables, they are both more musically transparent than about anything we’ve heard and their transparency, neutrality, and ability to carry a signal with such a huge degree of musical coherence means that the difference between the two connections will be incredibly easy to hear.

The Sarum T Super ARAY XLR is available in standard 1 metre lengths. Longer custom lengths are available to order.
